Comments about Balera Matte Nylon Camisole Leotard:
I am an instructor and order many of these from Small Child to Medium Adult. Leotard runs large, especially in the derriere area. Need to order a size smaller than usual leotards. Armholes cut too high. Dancers complain about it being uncomfortable around the arms.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We got these for a recital dance for a group of girls that were all different sizes. They ran VERY BIG and all of the girls are going to have their parents take their leotards in before recital. The run long and wide. In my opinion you should order AT LEAST one size smaller than you normally wear. Nice leotard though.
Nice fabric, and back is not too low

Fabric is slinky but not too shiny. Fabric does not accentuate ribcage and is not see-through. Fabric wicks moisture better than cotton. Colors stay vibrant. Straps do not adjust but seem fine for most body types. A larger figure that is short, under 5 foot 3, might find that the armpits come up a little high, since a larger person has to wear a larger size but might have a short arm-pit to panty line torso. A regular bra works fine if the dancer does not mind that bra staps show under the camisole straps. Nude or clear straps can work if the dancer is careful. We just wear black bras and black camisoles and do not worry about a double strap showing. It's better than a strapless bra. The back of the leotard is high enough that a regular bra will not show. It would be nice if more skirts in the 224S were available to match colors of leotards.

We ordered these for our summer dance studio camp. The bright color was gorgeous and the fit was great!

We do like Balera leotards, but this style in comparison to the other styles of Balera is about 2 sizes larger. If you order this leo, order on the small side.

Great product, just runs big for advertised sizes

Very reasonably priced leotard with a good fit and great color choices.
To measure girth, place tape measure on center of right shoulder, run through crotch and back to right shoulder loosely (as shown in diagram). Remember, the girth is the most important measurement. When in doubt, let the girth measurement determine size.
This is a guide to help determine correct sizing. See product detail page for available sizes.
